Tomorrow May 5th is Kodomo no Hi (Children’s Day in japan) set aside to respect children’s personalities and celebrate their happiness..

I made Chicken Hamburg yesterday and decorated for Children’s day for my son.

Here is recipe and ingredients.

Ingredients

  • Hanburg (recipe below)
  • rice ball
  • seaweed (nori sheet)
  • kinsh tamago (shredded egg crepe)
  • carrot
  • homemade ketchup
  • slice cheddar cheese
  • cherry tomatoes
  • broccoli
  • fresh corn steamed
  • salad (lettuce, corn, cherry tomatoes)
  • ginger dressing

Ingredients
[patties]
  • 1 lb chicken
  • 1 egg
  • ½ cup panko
  • 1 Tablespoon tamari (or soy sauce)
  • 1 Tablespoon miso (or gochujang)
  • ½ Tablespoon toasted sesame oil
  • salt and pepper
  • ½ onion cubed
  • 1 inch carrot cubed
  • ½ cup mushroom ubed
  • 2 cloves garlic grated

[sauce]
  • 1 Tablespoon mirin
  • 1 Tablespoon maple syrup
  • 1 cloves garlic minced
  • 1 Tablespoon soy sauce
  • 2 Tablespoon tomato sauce
  • 1 Tablespoon white miso
  • 3 tablespoon vegetable or chicken broth
Instructions
  1. minced vegetable onion, carrot, mushroom finely with food processor or with knife.
  2. Mix all ingredients [patties]and knead to combine well
  3. Form patties into your favorite size and shape.
  4. Heat a large frying pan with vegetable oil over high and place the hamburgers. Fry until browned. Turn over and turn the heat to low.
  5. pour 3 tablespoon the broth ovet it and cover the skillet tightly and cook the hamburgers untill the meat is cooked through.
  6. Uncover the skillet and add [sauce] ingredients and cook till liquid is absorbed.
