Halloween party was postponed due to hurricane sandy week later and my son finally enjoyed his Halloween at his daycare with his Thomas costume.
I brought sweet kabocha pie for his snack. This is healthy and toddler friendly snack for Halloween!
Here is the recipe.


Healthy Halloween snack-Sweet Kabocha pie

Ingredients
  • 00g Kabocha (without skin and seed)
  • Kabocha Skin (Keep this separetely. This is for decoration for face)
  • 30g brown sugar
  • 1 egg york
  • 15g butter
  • 1 Tablespoon milk
  • cinammon powder
  • 2 teaspoon Honey
  • Vegetable oil (option)
Instructions
  1. Preheat oven to 350 degrees.
  2. steam kabocha skin until soften and cut eye and mouth with knife or kitchen scissors.
  3. Steam kabocha 5-10 minutes or until soften and mash them into the pot.
  4. Add brown sugar, egg york, milk, butter, cinnamon powder and mix well.
  5. Heat them to remove excess water from the mix.
  6. Make 30 round shape (or your favorite size) and place in refrigerator about 30 minutes.
  7. Use tooth pick to make pumpkin shape and add face and month you prepared step2.
  8. Heat honey in microwave and coat with honey with brush.
  9. Bake them for about 10 minutes.
