I cooked different Halloween Jack-o’-lantern sushi (decorated sushi roll) last year, but I make easier version today.

This is how I make this sushi roll.

  1. Prepare orange sushi rice (I added mashed carrot , kabocha, sesame, salt) and white sushi rice. 
  2. Lay the bamboo sushi-roll mat on a cutting board with bamboo strips going horizontally from you.
  3. Cut nori sheet into 3 and make 3 oval shaped  sushi roll with orange rice.
  4. Spread a thin layer of white rice on  big nori sheet and place 3 small oval one in center and wrap them.
  5. Slice the sushi roll first down the middle with sharp knife. From there you can cut it into 6. (wet the knife between each cut to make it easier to cut).
