Yakisoba is “fried noodles” originated in China and usually sold at street in Japan.

I bought yakisoba noodle today and cooked curry flavoured one.

Curry flavoured yakisoba (fried noodle)
  • ½ Tablespoon vegetable oil
  • 4/1 lb pork thinly sliced
  • 2 scallion chopped
  • 2 green head cabbage leaves, chopped
  • 2 inches carrot, cut into thin rectangles
  • ½ red & yellow bell pepper, cored and chopped
  • salt and pepper
  • 2 cloves garlic minced
  • 1 Tabkesoon soy sauce
  • 1 Tablespoon Worcestershire Sauce
  • 1 Tablespoon gochujang (option)
  • 1 Tablespoon mirin
  • 1 Teaspoon curry powder
  • 1 teaspoon sesame oil

  • 2 package yakisoba noodle

  • 100 ml chicken soup stock
  1. In a small bowl, mix together sauce ingredients
  2. Heat vegetable oil in medium skillet on medium heat. Stir-fry the pork until almost cooked. Sprinkle with salt and pepper to season.
  3. Add all vegetable in the skillet and stir-fry for a couple of minutes. Add green bell pepper in the skillet and stir-fry for a minute and set aside
  4. Add noodles in skillet. Pour ¼ cup of soup stock over the noodles and add all cooked vegetables, and sauce ingredients. Turn down the heat to low and steam for a few minutes.
  5. Stir the noodles quickly. Divide yakisoba into two plates.
  6. Sprinkle with aonori before serving if available.
